    Nowadays, the process for a French dinner is simplified, but French¡¯s daintiness about food remains. Here¡¯re 7 tips which will help you to learn the basic etiquettes and avoid faux pas:

1. Generally, red wine goes with red meat, and white wine with white meat. As for dessert, it often goes with sweet table wine.

2. After you finish eating, don¡¯t wipe your hands or mouth violently with the napkin, in stead, press it on your mouth and hands gently.

3 .When there¡¯re more than 1 course, after the first one(usually seafood) the waiter will serve you a glass of Sorbet made of fruit juice or champagne, so that to help you to keep your mouth clean and stimulate your appetite for the next course.

4.No matter how comfortable the chair is, you should always keep your body straight. Don¡¯t lean against the back of the chair. You can tilt your body slightly forward as eating, but must keep your arms closed to your body in case of hitting your neighbors.

5. The silver is placed in order of use so that you can follow the rule ¡°begin at the outside and work in¡± towards the plate!

6. After finish a course, don¡¯t leave the cutlery about. You should place them parallel on your plate with the forks facing up.

7.   You should always place your cutlery somewhere within your dining territorial borders, and make clear the usage of each of them.
